NYC Juneteenth Reparations Café
Decolonizing Our Inner Landscape

Date:
 Saturday, June 21, 2025
Time: 10:30 AM - 7:30 PM
Location: Bailey's Cafe, Brooklyn

Join Black Exhale for our first in-person Reparations Café as part of Culture Push's "Show Don't Tell" symposium. In a fragmented world that disconnects us from our bodies and ancestral knowledge, these facilitated sessions offer a radical alternative.

Led by Collective Trauma Facilitators Antoinette Cooper and Jaden Ramsey, we're hosting three distinct sessions exploring "Decolonizing Our Inner Landscape"—examining how colonial patterns shape our relationships with our bodies, ways of knowing, and sense of community.

Our Juneteenth weekend gathering creates intentional containers where participants can move beyond intellectual understanding to engage with embodied wisdom through guided dialogue, somatic practices, and collective witnessing.

Three Sessions:

  • 10:30 AM-12:30 PM: White Communities/Allies

  • 2:00 PM-4:00 PM: Black-Centered Space

  • 5:30 PM-7:30 PM: BIPOC-Centered Space

Each session includes a temporary community love altar where participants can bring photos of ancestors, loved ones, or younger selves—creating a physical reminder of our interconnection across time and space.

Registration: RSVP at Culture Push
Please note: Sessions are designed for specific communities as noted. All sessions are free to attend.
