Voices of Resilience

"Sanctuary is not a place, it's a practice. It's the way we treat one another, the way we show up for one another, the way we bear witness to one another's pain and joy."

- Rev. angel Kyodo williams, Radical Dharma: Talking Race, Love, and Liberation

********

In this sacred space, we invite you to bear witness to the stories of system-impacted Black men, and gender non-conforming people. These unfiltered narratives offer a glimpse into the lives of those who have been shaped by the trauma of incarceration and the resilience of the human spirit. As you read their shares and witness their images, we ask that you approach with an open heart and a willingness to listen deeply. Allow their experiences to resonate within you, and let their voices be a reminder of the power of storytelling in the journey towards healing and liberation. Through these stories, we honor the strength, vulnerability, and humanity of these humans, and we stand in solidarity with all those who have been impacted by the injustices of the criminal justice system. May their words be a catalyst for compassion, understanding, and the fierce urgency of now in the fight for transformative justice.
